Reception new starters

We are very pleased to welcome you and your family to Lift Offa’s Mead! We have created this page for all our new parents and pupils with information all about your new school.

Welcome to Your New School!

We like to get to know your child and help them to feel comfortable and confident about starting school in September. Mrs Cassidy (Class teacher) will be speaking to pre-school/nursery settings in the summer term to find out all about the children.

During transition days your child will also get to meet their new teacher and class pupils before starting in September and they will have the same teacher for the whole year.

We can't wait to meet you and would like to say a big thank you for choosing Lift Offa’s Mead as your school from September!

We aim to work closely with all of the families in our community. At Lift Offa’s Mead, we have a vibrant team of staff who are committed to providing a diverse, well balanced curriculum. We are passionate about what we do and want your children to be happy, safe and enthusiastic about coming to school. At Lift Offa's Mead, every day is remarkable.

Our school is part of Lift Schools

Lift Schools is a national network of schools across England dedicated to education where we are dedicated to providing an excellent education for every child in every classroom, everyday. We create an inspiring environment filled with opportunities to learn, grow and discover their potential.

Everything we do, every decision we make and the way in which we behave is focused on achieving that end goal and underpinned by our values.

Prepare your child to begin their new Reception class

We have uploaded the following resources to help you to prepare your child for joining us in September.

If you have any questions at all, or if there is anything that you would like to discuss with us about your child’s specific needs or concerns about starting school, please do not hesitate to contact the school; the relevant member of staff will then get back to you as soon as possible.

If you have any queries regarding SEND, please email our SENDCO Deb Edwards at sendco@liftoffasmead.org.

Attendance

Attendance is vital to your child’s education.  We expect all children to attend school unless they are too ill to do so.  If your child is unwell, you must contact the school office straight away. If your child is absent for a medical appointment we must see proof of this. Holidays during term time will NOT be authorised.
